The US and Mexico Sign Joint Work Plan for Mutual Recognition of Trusted Trader Programs

According to the news release from Friday, January 18, 2013, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Mexico’s Tax Administration Service (SAT) signed a Joint Work Plan that defines the path to mutual recognition for the two countries’ Authorized Economic Operator Programs: CBP’s Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and SAT’s New Certified Companies Scheme (NEEC). The Joint Work Plan is expected to be implemented in two years.


Establishing the mutual recognition between the two programs allows for companies enrolled in either of the programs to receive reciprocal benefits from the other while furthering securing the international supply chain and facilitating trade between the US and Mexico.Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...
